Instructions for Taking ISTQB Exams and AT*SQA Exams at Testing Centers

If you are interested in taking an exam at a testing center, please read through the rules and instructions below.

You can see the steps of how to check days and times for testing centers in the scheduling area below. Testing centers are generally available Monday-Friday depending on the location. To check specific locations, dates and times, you will need to have an AT*SQA account.

If you are inerested in knowing if a testing center is available in your city, you can see a full list of available testing centers on the Kryterion website. This will only give you locations, not available days and times.

You do not need to make a purchase to check testing center specific days and times for available exam slots, but you do need and AT*SQA account.

I do not see a testing center in my area

Testing centers are available throughout the world, but they might not be available where you live. If you do not see a testing center in your area, you can instead select the online exam option and take the exam from your home or business anywhere in the world.

Can I schedule an exam using a mobile device?

Webassessor requires you to use a computer to schedule the exam. You can't use a tablet or mobile phone at this time.

Can I use a paper and pencil?

Yes, paper and pencils are provided by the testing center for in-person testing center exams.

I need special accommodations.

If you have any special accommodations, please contact us before scheduling your exam. Special accommodations requests must be made well in advance of when you would like to take your exam.

Why am I getting "Error Accessing Webassessor"
when trying to schedule my exam?

If you have previously used your email address with another exam provider that uses Webassessor, you cannot use that same email address with AT*SQA. This is an odd aspect of Webassessor that unfortunately we cannot control. Please use a different email address in your AT*SQA account and then verify it. Then you should be able to schedule your exam.

Important information on canceling or rescheduling exam

Please be aware, you must reschedule your testing center exam more than 72 hours in advance and reschedule your online exam more than 24 hours in advance to avoid a rescheduling fee from Webassessor/Kryterion.

General Rules for Testing Center Exams

You are required to have a valid government ID in order to start your exam. This can be a passport, driver's license, government-issued identification card, or NIN. Note: When using an NIN, you can not use a printed or screenshot of the NIN. You must access the NIN through the App on your phone. Failure to have the appropriate ID at the time of your exam will require you to pay a $90 rescheduling fee. Please see the ID information below this list.
You will need to present the authorization code from your scheduling confirmation email to the testing center.
No food or drink is permitted during the exam.
You cannot wear headphones/earbuds during the exam.
Electronic devices, including telephones, cameras, smart watches, signaling devices, pagers, alarms, and recording/playback devices of any kind are not permitted.

In Webassessor, select “Schedule An Examination”
Use your exam voucher code from your account to pay for the exam

Step 1

Sign into Your Account

Visit https://atsqa.org/account and sign in. There is also a sign-in button on the top right of the website.

Step 2

Locate Voucher Code

You will scroll partially down your account page to locate the exam code.

Step 3

Select “Online Exam Access”

This access box is toward the top of your AT*SQA account page. You will also use the link here to log into the scheduling area if you need to reschedule the exam.

Once you have selected “Online Exam Access” you may need to agree to the terms and policies before entering the exam scheduling area (Kryterion/Webassessor). If you have already done so, you will not see the next two screenshots.

Step 4

“Proceed to Exam Scheduling” page, select “Accept” to continue to Webassessor

In Webassessor, select “Schedule My Exam”

You will select one of the two options for testing center exams. "EXT" in the title are exams with extended time if English is not your native language.

After scheduling the exam, you can select the "My Exams" area in Webassessor to view/cancel/reschedule your scheduled exam.

Go to "Schedule An Examination"
Select your exam (Example 1)
Select the exam center (Example 2)
Select the day and time (Example 3)
Proceed to payment and use your exam voucher code as payment (Example 4)

Be aware that you will be charged a rescheduling fee if you reschedule your testing center exams within 72-hours of the schedule time.

You will also reschedule your exam in Webassessor / Kryterion by going to the "My Exams" area and there is an option to reschedule or cancel next to your scheduled exam.

Testing centers are available worldwide, but are not available in all countries or cities.

Select the Day & Time (Example 3)

If you are scheduling for the next month or further out, you may not see available days and times for a testing center. Some testing centers update their calendars right before the upcoming month.

Step 6

Proceed to Checkout (Example 4)

You will proceed to payment and your exam voucher code will be used on the last payment page to pay for the exam. If you see a tax on the last payment page, it will be removed once the exam voucher code is applied.

Step 7

Exam Day Information

You are required to be 10 minutes early for your scheduled exam at the testing center. You will need the authorization code provided to you in the scheduling email and you will need 2 forms of ID.

Your government ID name must match your name on your account.
